EFRA APPROVED Akku UND Motor

wir waren gestern in Apeldoorn um ein paar Sachen zu testen, darunter war ein 4,5T und 5,5T Motor und der neue 5300mAh/65C lipo Akku aus dem Hause GensAce. Die Performance der Motoren war sehr gut, gefahren wurden diese mit einer Untersetzung von 7,7 - 8,0. Die Temperaturen lagen nach 5-6min bei ca. 70 Grad. Betrieben wurden die Motoren mit einem SP GT 2.0 und einem Hobbywing Regler V 2.0 mit identischer Modified Software. Den GenAce Regler konnten wir nicht testen da er Derzeit noch nicht verfügbar ist, der Test für diesen Regler werden wir nachreichen. Die Leistung der Motoren ist gefühlt sehr gut, auch die Verarbeitung ist auf einem hohen Niveau. Ich habe ein kurzes Video angehangen, wo man die Leistung der Motoren annähernd sehen kann. Des Weiteren haben wir die neuen 5300mAh/65C getestet, hier wurden wir von einem sehr niedrigen Innenwiderstand überascht, nach der zweiten Ladung lag der Innenwiderstand bei 2,3mOhm gesamt. Leider hat dieser Akku noch keine EFRA Zulassung aber es gibt ja auch Rennserien wo diese nicht nötig ist. Für Stock Racing dürfte dieser niedrige Innenwiderstand von Vorteil sein, durch die hohe Leistungsabgabe. Die 6500mAh/50C kamen auch zum Einsatz, hier hörte man speziell von den Stock Fahrern das sie sehr konstant die Spannung ab geben obwohl sie einen recht hohen Innenwiderstand haben, dies haben wir beim messen auch festgestellt aber nachdem wir den Akku mal etwas gefordert haben mit dem 4,5T Motor, ging der Innenwiderstand rapide runter und pendelte sich bei den 5000mAh/50C ein, dieser liegt bei ca. 5mOhm pro Pack.

Ich hoffe die Informationen sind hilfreich und die Fa. I noted that the only thing we have replaced is the steering servo which failed after the second run....at the time RedCat was having a problem with their steering servos....they have since fixed that issue. I have run this truck with Ace Lipos as well ( ace 4000 25C and ace 5000 50C 7.4 lipo) ..

As for the ESC, I do use with the gens aceprogramming box to customize the settings. I set the acceleration curve at “4” so that I have an initial “soft” acceleration curve at start to have less stress on the transmission.

Ace sind in Deutschland noch nicht besonders bekannt und auch ich hatte nur vage im Hinterkopf, den Namen schon einmal gehört zu haben, obwohl sie sogar ein Deutsches Warehouse haben, das schnellen und kostengünstigen Versand garantiert. Umso interessierter war ich natürlich, als man mir Motoren und ESCs zum Testen anbot. Nun liegen hier 8 grasgrüne Pappschachteln vor mir: 4 Gens Ace Mars-BL2722 Motoren mit 980KV und 4 Gens Ace 20A ESCs.

55C sind eine echte Ansage, sofern der Begriff Entladerate hier nicht von raten kommt. Das Gewicht ist mit 230 Gramm durchschnittlich für einen 3S-Lipo dieser Kapazität. Die Verarbeitung sieht wie bei den anderen Gens Ace Produkten tadellos aus: Anschlusskabel und Balancerkabel sind flexible Silikonlitzen in gut dimensionierter Stärke.

I recently obtained PA-12 ARF and wanted to provide a build thread. This model is from their “Sportsman Series” of entry level beginners planes. The PA-12 has similar looks to J3 Cubs. The PA-12 is a basic high-wing, tail-dragger plane. Items included with the ARF are your basic hardware package with assembly tools, pre-painted decorated foam parts, installed motor/ESC combination, installed push-rods and hinged flight control surfaces. Also included with the ARF is a 7-cell 650mah NiMH pack and 12v Timer battery charger.

It used to be that makers of video games used real-life games as their inspiration. The wheel, it would appear, has turned full circle. After the “angry birds” game became such a mega hit, toy-makers are milking the “angry birds” concept for conventional toys.

When Dave Szatmary and his wife, Beth, moved their business from southern Florida to Pelham, something immediately struck them about customers coming through their doors.
“Shelby County is such a great place. It’s just a good environment to do business,” Szatmary said. “I owned a party supply store in south Florida for 15 years before I came here.

“The people are so much nicer to deal with up here,” Szatmary added with a laugh.
After “dabbling” in selling models and toys at his party supply store ace in Florida, Szatmary decided to shift his business focus entirely to hobbies. In 2008, the Szatmarys purchased Oak Mountain Hobbies and Toys in the Pelham Promenade shopping center off U.S. 31, and have enjoyed it since.
“This is not a high-stress environment,” Szatmary said. “People are generally relaxed and in a good mood when they come in here.”
Several months ago, the Szatmarys moved the business from the southern end of the Pelham Promenade to the much larger former AllSouth Appliance location a few doors down.

Air Show in Miniature Takes to the Skies

Helicopters, gliders, jets and propeller planes will be flying en masse at the Patuxent Aeromodelers Club third annual community day on May 12 from 10 am to 5 pm at the club’s air field adjacent to Greenwell State Park.  While not the typical air show staged at the Naval Air Station attended by thousands, the excitement and entertainment value of the show in miniature can hold its own. 

Flying remote control airplanes or helicopters is the best way to satisfy the yen to fly, short of piloting a full-size aircraft. While nothing tops that experience, flying remote control airplanes comes pretty close to the real thing.  Here’s how it works. A radio controlled model aircraft, often called RC aircraft or RC plane, is controlled remotely by a hand-held transmitter and a receiver within the craft.  The receiver controls the corresponding servos that move the control surfaces based on the position of the joysticks on the transmitter which in turn affect the plane’s orientation.

The radio controlled flying hobby has rocketed in popularity in recent years with electric powered airplanes and helicopters becoming less expensive, more widely available and easier to fly than ever before.  For less than $100, a newcomer to the hobby can get started with a small ready-to-fly electric plane and transmitter.  It's these electric powered aircraft that have drawn so many newcomers to the hobby lately, but internal combustion models are still widely available and continue to have a loyal following.  

Planes painted to mimic their full grown counterparts like the F4U Corsair, the T-6 Texan or even a Piper Cub will line the field for takeoff with up to eight simultaneous flights throughout the day.  And, there’s more in store at the community day then just sitting back and watching.  This event is geared to engage the spectator by providing free “buddy box” lessons.  The buddy box experience offers newcomers a chance to share controls of an airplane with an expert.   

The Patuxent Aeromodelers Club affords young aspiring pilots a chance to get hooked on the hobby.  In association with the Academy of Model Aeronautics Education Department, kids will be building their own free flight gliders to take home compliments of the club.   Students from the Great Mills High School Engineering Club will have their airplanes on display at the community day as well and will be on hand to share information about the upcoming Association of Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) competition.  Great Mills High School is recognized as the first high school team to successfully fly at the AUVSI student competition held annually at Webster Field. College students from around the world compete in this prestigious event.

There will be a refreshment concession and a raffle for an RC simulator.
